Mack Diesel Trucks
The first Mack truck was built in 1909, but was run on the name Manhattan. The first trucks that carried the Mack name and helped the company become what it is today would be the Mack AC, introduced in 1916. Mack supplied around 6,000 trucks to the WWI effort, and became synonymous with a truck that could face adversity during the war. The company had many firsts in the trucking industry. Namely, the 1st to have air cleaners and oil filters. They were also the first to have power brakes. Today, the company logo is one of the most recognized in the world, the silver Bulldog.
